First thing is that I do not really recall exactly who played for the Baboons. I remember that a few Giants helped us a lot (Hank, Bai, Shiao-Hei at least) as well as 2 Taichung players (Robbie and Wray).
Anyway, we had the field advantage and the non-drinking advantage against a pretty solid Rhinos team who arrived still a little bit drunk from the previous night thanks to Barry!!!!
The good thing is that all the Baboons were on-time on the pitch but we were still reluctant for a good warm up …
Also I do not recall perfectly the game as it was 3weeks ago … but anyway below is what I have seen it.
And the game started … with a solid Rhinos playing a lot with their forwards. They were bigger than us; they were playing better than us. We were defending. And then it came naturally, Rhinos (J. J.) scored an unconverted try first after 7 minutes only.

However despite a slight superiority of the Rhinos, our defense stood very well. The Rhinos had some really hard time to break our defense line. And at the 1st really attacking position after a very nice break from an unknown Baboon, Johan made a few stets right and left and just came around the Rhinos broken defensive line. Johan scored after 12 minutes. Johan converted.

We tried hard to get some balls to our back-line but a few un-precise passes cut short our attempts to go around the Rhino weaker back-line. But suddenly our play came in and finally we managed to pass the ball to Shaun who scored an unconverted try soon after 17minutes.

Water break, a few changes and the 2nd 1/3 started.
And we were defending in our 22 again and we were holding the Rhinos. And suddenly after a fierce defense, our forwards stole the ball from the Rhinos, and the flying Giant got it and the Baboon scored. Mr. Bai (Giants) scored down the wing. Johan converted.

Unfortunately the Rhinos did not want to give up. They came to win. They used again their strong forward to penetrate our lines. The Rhinos finally got the right reward. James Kibu scored and converted.

And then it is fuzzy in my memory but the records are saying that Tristan scored and CONVERTED his own try. I do not remember at all how he did that. But he did it.

Water break, a few changes and the 3rd 1/3 started.
We started with much more composure. Our forwards held much more the Rhinos, our alienation was paying back. And after Bernie's Barn storming run, it led to a scrum inside their 40. Again we managed to give the ball to our back-line. Tristan got it and after passing the Rhinos defensive line, he was running for an easy try. But a silly collar tackle on Tristan stopped him on the Rhinos 10m line. Naturally we got the penalty, Johan played it very rapidly and rushed over the try line and scored. Johan converted it,

But just after the Rhinos started again their conquest of our 22, and they naturally scored and converted 2 tries

We were enable to stop the Rhinos and their forwards. We were tired. But as a typical Baboon way during this game, suddenly we managed to steal the ball in our own 22. Our back-line largely powered by the fast Giants got the ball, ran for 80m and Mr. Bai scored under the sticks 5 minutes from the end. Johan converted
FINAL SCORED Boons 40 - Rhinos 26
The Rhinos pack dominated us, winning most of the line-outs and scrums. Our back-line made a few handling errors (forward passes and dropped balls). But we have shown a lot of strength in our defense, strong team spirit and awesome skills. It was a great day.
The player of the day comes to Kiwi Dave (if I remember well) and at #10 from Rhinos
